Greetings to all who find their way into my digital haven! I am bigbigspoon, a product of a curious mind and a lifetime devoted to unraveling the mysteries of the world around me. Come along as I share the tale of my existence, from early adventures dismantling my Dad's Atari to orchestrating digital capers in the tumultuous realm of GTA.
From a young age, I demonstrated a flair for disassembling things to reveal their inner workings. My journey started with coax cables and the intricacies of gaming consoles, eventually leading me to hack into GTA through JSON files – a digital Robin Hood, redistributing in-game wealth to those in need. I also ventured into the analog world, participating in sports like wrestling, baseball, and track, living my life by the rhythm of streetlights.
My official skill set took shape during high school, where I immersed myself in a variety of elective classes, from Autoshop and Metal Shop to Pottery and 3D Animation. Fueled by a passion for computers and a rebellious spirit, I delved into music piracy, game and console hacking, and explored the world of networks. This era witnessed war driving, cantennas, and a fusion of real-life skills with a touch of rebellious hacking.
I hail from a time before the internet became ubiquitous, growing up in a large family where sharing a connection meant constant battles for bandwidth. Remembering entire URLs was a necessity, and a special shout-out to segasages for providing cheat codes in the pre-Google era. This brings us to the origins of my name, bigbigspoon, inspired by the hilariously absurd "REJECTED Cartoons" by DON HERTZFELDT. The birth of bigbigspoon coincided with creating my own identity on the internet – a name to brand and cherish.
Post high school, I embarked on a decade-long journey with Blockbuster, eventually becoming a training store for others. This job funded my education in Administration of Justice and Criminal Justice, earning me multiple certifications and degrees. However, the allure of law enforcement waned, and I returned to my true passion – technology. Presently, I serve as a Lead Global Technology Engineer, juggling my tech career with an executive role in the E-Sports realm with X-Element. Amidst it all, I take pride in being a devoted father and husband.
